Description: Pio Cesare Barolo is an elegant and full-bodied Italian red wine from Piedmont, made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. It offers a well-defined structure, balanced fruit and soft tannins. 30% of the wine is aged for 36 months in French oak barriques, while the remaining 70% spends the same period in 20–50 hl French oak casks. The aromatic profile combines dried rose petals, violets, cherries, sweet spices, herbs, cloves and liquorice. A classic Barolo that combines the aromatic character of Nebbiolo with structure and the complexity gained from extended oak ageing.
