Description: La Val Orballo Albariño – Rías Baixas DO La Val Orballo is a dry white wine made from 100% Albariño grapes in the O Rosal subzone of Rías Baixas, Galicia, Spain. The Vilachán vineyard lies close to the Atlantic Ocean on distinctive metamorphic schist soils, contributing to the wine’s fresh, saline and mineral character. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo six hours of cold maceration before fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged on its lees for six months across three types of vessels: stainless steel tanks, a concrete egg and a ceramic tank. The result is an aromatic, fresh Albariño combining citrus, white fruit, pear and apricot with a long, saline finish.
