Description: Masseria Altemura lies in the heart of the Salento peninsula, one of Italy’s most highly regarded areas for Primitivo. The vineyards grow on limestone-rich soils and benefit from the coastal winds and saline influence coming from both the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. This wine follows the profile of a Primitivo di Manduria: full-bodied, generous and made exclusively from fully ripe Primitivo grapes. The nose shows plum, ripe red berries and sweet spices. On the palate, it delivers warm, dense fruit, a smooth texture and a rich, velvety tannin structure that clearly places it above a standard Primitivo Salento.
