Smell: Immediately bright, vibrant and fruity, with swathes of sweet vanilla, toasted sugar and fresh lime peel, alongside fragrant, ripe clementines and exotic flower nectar.

Description: Don Papa Masskara, the 2018 expression from Don Papa is inspired by and in tribute to the iconic Masskara Festival of Negros Occidental, the annual masked fiesta dedicated to lifting spirits and smiling through adversity. This popular edition is infused with indigenous spices, fruit, and honey, found on the country’s tropical landscape and aged in American oak barrels before it is blended with a pot still infusion of tropical ingredients locally-sourced in the Philippines. The rich Philippine honey adds a sweetness to the flavour profile, the wonderful hand-picked calamansi lime (native to the Philippines) contributes distinctive citrus notes while the fiery local pepper, one of the hottest chilis in the world, adds a touch of heat and spice.
