Taste: A return of the delicate light topical fruit from the nose, immediately followed by a swathe of sweeter barbeque smokiness, fresh vanilla pods, fresh citrus zest (lime) and star anise.

Smell: Bold and rich, as tropical aromas come to life, with mango and passion fruit notes, liquorice, a sprinkling of demerara sugar, dark chocolate and a faint waft of gentle wood smoke, which is subtle and nicely balanced.

Description: Using 100% sugarcane molasses from Negros island, Don Papa Gayuma is distilled in the unique volcanic climate surrounding the foothills of Mt. Kanlaon, and finished in Islay whisky barrels for a distinctive smoky aroma. The rum is dark amber in colour with a distinct peaty nose, a soft and delicate vanilla, light orange peel notes, deep cacao, with hints of cloves and mint. It’s intense smokey tinge and spicy finish creates a well balanced yet complex liquid.
