Taste: Great structure in the mouth. Ample, balanced and elegant with sweet, velvety tannins throughout. Perfectly ripe red and dark fruit with notes of cocoa and spices and a sweet finish.

Smell: Very fresh, menthol aromas, hints of cocoa and spicy notes on a balsamic background. Ripe dark fruit (plums) and red fruit (red currants) against a toasty backdrop.

Description: The grapes come from estate-owned organic vineyards where no herbici- des are used. The yields are lower and plant treatments are less aggressive, although this does require closer monitoring.

Color: Dark-cherry red with a purple rim.
