Taste: Amiable, flavoursome entry and a mouthfeel with very gentle tannins. Dark fruit notes make an intense comeback accompanied by hints of cocoa against a balsamic backdrop. Liquorice and hints of aniseed on the finish.

Smell: Marked fruit and anise, with notes of red fruit (raspberries) and dark fruit (blackberries and blueberries) mingling with violets set against a minty background with hints of bay leaves.

Description: The grapes come from estate-owned organic vineyards where no herbici- des are used. The yields are lower and plant treatments are less aggressive, although this does require closer monitoring.

Color: Lovely dark cherry-red with purple hues denoting youth.
